Write a Free EBook and Earn an Income Online

Most people have the idea that the only way to make money from writing an eBook is to sell it, that may be the case if you want to make money from the eBook itself, but there are ways to make money from the eBook without charging a penny. In some case giving the eBook away for free can make you more money than you would charging for it.
Promotion
Using the FREE eBook to promote is a great way to attract more customers, and in most cases more customers will lead to more sales, which means more money. The eBook has indirectly brought you in an income.
Now, What sort of promotion can a free eBook bring you?
If you own and write at a blog, you will know how important it is to have as many RSS subscribers as you can, the more subscribers generally mean the more visits to your blog, now how about offering a free eBook to visitor who subscribe?
How about people who run a forum? Try offering a VIP section for members, a one time payment to receive extra features from your forum, that regular members do not get, and as a gift for these members upgrading, give them a free eBook. Not only will this build the relationship between your members, it may also entice members to purchase the VIP status.
Spread the eBook! Spread your Link!
Another way to think about an eBook you have written is a way to spread your websites URL. When you write a free eBook, on every page at the bottom of the page (Footer) insert your website URL as a clickable link, from then its very simple, spread the eBook around the internet, give the eBook to everyone, tell them to give the eBook to everyone they know, and to everyone they know etc etc. Everybody who receives your eBook will have the link to visit, most people will click on it, just out of curiosity, now obviously you want people who are interested in your niche, so join as many forums or communities in you niche and give out your eBook, most people will quite happily take a free eBook, well.. wouldn't you?
But, remember writing a free eBook is not right for every one, in some cases writing a free eBook to give away will not help you at all, me for example, I no longer own any websites, so it is pretty pointless to give my eBooks away for free to promote a website I don't have.

Earn Money Through Affiliate Programs That Pay

One of the simplest and most widely-popular methods to earn money online is through affiliate marketing.
Now what is affiliate marketing? Affiliate marketing is a marketing practice in which a company pays and affiliate (this refers to you) for each customer or visitor brought by the affiliate's marketing efforts. In other words, what you do is promote another company's product or services in your blog or website and when a sale is made from a guest who went through the link in your site, you will get a commission.
The first thing therefore that you, the aspiring affiliate, need to do is to hook up with affiliate programs that pay, and of course the best way to look for the best merchant that would suit you is by looking up some of the programs through affiliate directories in the Internet.
There are numerous businesses online that offers a variety of affiliate programs that pay people to run their ads. Websites such as AffiliateScout.com and AffiliateSeeking.com provide a list of well-established merchants in need of website and blog owners to market their products and services. These sites also give tips on how to optimize your site's traffic, which kind of program to pick, and also provides information on how you can refer other webmasters to your merchant clients and earn from doing so. There are a lot of programs that you can choose from these directories.
Pay Per Sale programs are affiliate programs that pay you every time a guest or visitor that was redirected from your page purchases your merchant's product or service. This would be a hit if you are hooked up with a merchant who is selling a pretty popular and in-demand product, so you're in for a heavier workload.
However, some of these affiliate programs pay fortunes simply for leads. This is what we call Pay Per Lead affiliate programs. With this program, you simply a refer a person from your site, then the referred person would sign up or subscribe to the site that you referred him to (your client's site). Upon doing so, this would already be counted as a lead on your part. Different merchants have differing rates per lead, so scouting for the best deal before you start is definitely a must.
Another important thing that you need to do, and is perhaps a consideration often overlooked by site owners, is to make sure that the products and services that you advertise are fairly similar with your blog or site's content. Meaning, if your site is all about fashion, then you might consider signing up with a merchant who sells shoes and dresses and not with an affiliate program that pays to run ads about biking gear or gardening supplies.
Merchant clients offer different affiliate programs that pay in a variety of ways - some pays affiliates in cash, others in prizes or points. You wouldn't want to sign up to earn points or prizes, would you? But you can actually make use of the same strategy in your business. You can come up with contests and prizes to encourage readers to click on a link, which can also entail referrals to other friends.
Thus like any other business venture, this line of work would also involve a great deal of creativity and convincing power on your part. The more followers that you already have, the more chances that your client's ads will be seen and visited, the more profits that you can gain.

How To Start Making Money With A Blog

If there ever was a free - or very close to free - business model on the internet, it's blogging.
In fact, you can sign up with Google Blogger or a WordPress blog for nothing. It's quick, too: You can be set up within
minutes.
Then all you need to do to start making money is stick some AdSense ads on it. When your visitors click on the links, you make money.
You can also stick affiliate links in your blog. Then you write impartial reviews, and make money when they buy the product through your link.
And the good thing about both of these methods is that you really can make money without spending any. Once you know how to do it right.
What is AdSense?
AdSense is an advertising program run by Google.
When businesses advertise with Google, these adverts can be placed your blog - whether the blog is free or not.
Then, when someone clicks on these ads, Google charges the advertiser for each of those clicks. Hence why it's also referred to as Pay-Per-Click advertising.
And, because the ad is on your site, Google pays you a small percentage.
Google's charge for each click can be anywhere from 5 cents to a few dollars. So there's potential to make a little extra cash, or quite a lot. It all depends on how serious you are.
I regularly make a small extra income from AdSense.
Keep in mind Google owns both AdSense and Blogger. So the two go well together.
All you need to do, to make money with AdSense, is to take the small code the program generates and paste it onto your blog.
Although there are some positions on your blog where you can get more clicks than others, it's up to you to figure out the best place.
Over the last couple of years I've learned, through trial and error, the best places on my sites.
I'll go into more detail about AdSense in a later post. (For my clients I do this for them - if that's what they want - so they don't have to).
Another thing: You can blend the AdSense ads so they look like part of your blog. Something like an advertorial in a newspaper so it looks like an article rather than an advert.
Also - and here's why it's important to have some keywords in your articles - AdSense usually places ads on your site which match the topic and content.
For example: If you have a site on languages, AdSense will probably show ads which offer language courses, etc.
You won't see ads on that site for cars or aeroplanes as they tend to be irrelevant to the topic.
